Ruemu Agiri

Lead Pastor and Chief Operations Officer

Pastor Ruemu Agiri is the only son of Pastor Solomon and Apostle Esther Agiri. He was born in Eku Baptist Hospital in the Delta region of Nigeria, West Africa. At the age of 8, with his mother and little sister, they moved to Houston, Texas in the United States to join their father who had preceded them. Houston has been home ever since. He attended Fort Bend Austin High School, and left to pursue his undergraduate studies in psychology at The Ohio State University. Upon returning to Houston in 2010, he helped to establish the youth ministry S.W.A.G. at AOIMF in 2011 and one year later, the young adult ministry Ground Zero.
His return to Houston was the turning point in his life, when he accepted to follow God’s direction and answer the call upon his life. Leading the youth and young adults of the church pushed him to know God more deeply and study the word in order to be able to minister to those looking up to and following him. He joined the school of ministry taught by Apostle Esther Agiri in 2012, and in 2013 he was ordained as a Minister. In 2014 he was ordained as the COO of the church and by 2017 Pastor Ruemu obtained from Trinity International University, a Doctor of Divinity degree. This was a pivotal moment not only for him but AOIMF as a whole.
In January 2017 Pastor Ruemu married his wife Kathy and have 4 beautiful children. The two continue to serve the body of Christ with dedication and passion. When describing the call and responsibility of ministry, Pastor Ruemu says, “This is not just ministry to me--this is life.”
